The Washington Wizards are on the rise and it's only a matter of time before the rest of the league realizes it.

Washington has one of the best young cores in the league, with the likes of Alex Sarr, Kyshawn George and rookie standout Tre Johnson already drawing attention to what general manager Will Dawkins and President of Monumental Basketball Michhael Winger are building in the DMV.

Now, with the blockbuster additions of four-time All-Star Trae Young and future Hall of Famer Anthony Davis ahead of the NBA trade deadline, it's become obvious that Washington has a desire to compete in the Eastern Conference sooner rather than later.

Not to mention, the additional assets the team has at their disposal to continue rebuilding their roster in the coming months.

As a result, players around the league are starting to take notice; one of which being pending free agent and anther future Hall of Famer in LeBron James.

LeBron is keeping tabs on the new-look Wizards

In a recent episode of James' and Steve Nash's podcast "Mind the Game", the Lakers' star made his interest on the Wizards very clear:

"Very interested..very intriguing," James said in regards to the Wizards. "I'm interested to see what they do and how it comes together."

The 41-year-old is a former teammate of Davis and a long-time fan of Young, who the Lakers' were linked to before he eventually found himself in Washington.

"AD, obviously, we know the talent level is out of this world. And you know, Trae with his ability to play pick and roll game, his ability to shoot the ball, his lob threat..I love the young kid they have from France (Alex Sarr), love the kid [Kyshawn] George and also the rookie kid they got from Texas (Tre Johnson)."

At this point of his career, it would be shocking to see James consider taking his talents to yet another organization down the stretch of his career, especially if he hopes to win another championship prior to retiring.

The forward's former squad in the Cleveland Cavaliers have already been considered a potential landing spot if he were to leave Los Angele, and while the Wizards may not be viewed as a realistic landing spot, stranger things have happened.

Regardless, the fact that James' attention has been drawn to what's being built in D.C. only proves that the vision for the team's future is potentially brighter than what anyone originally realized.
