The Washington Wizards enter a pivotal offseason with plenty of ammunition to completely retool their roster ahead of next season.
Not only does Washington have plenty of veterans that could potentially be moved on the trade market, but they also have multiple picks in the upcoming NBA Draft.
With two first-round picks at the Wizards disposal, here's a look at the top three options for each pick:
Round 1, Pick 2:
G Dylan Harper, Rutgers
Dylan Harper is undoubtedly one of the top prospects in this upcoming draft class. Although Cooper Flagg is far and away the prize of the draft, somewhere out there are basketball minds prepared to make the argument that Harper could be better at the next level.
At 6-foot-6, Harper has the size and the skillset to be an absolute monster in the NBA. The playmaker is a three-level scorer, he can get to the rim at will and his jumper is crisp enough to make defenders pay for leaving him early. Not to mention he's a more than willing passer.
If the Wizards do miss out on the top pick and land at No. 2 overall, Harper will likely be the guy.
G Ace Bailey, Rutgers
Anyone who watched Dylan Harper this past season without a doubt noticed his backcourt mate in Ace Bailey. At 6-foot-9, Bailey has the size to play as a wing, and the versatility to be listed as a guard.
Bailey is one of the best shooters in the draft and his craftiness on offense allows for him to get to his spot on the court at will. In addition, even when there's no space, he's proven to be an elite tough-shot maker.
If the Wizards fall in love with Bailey in the pre-draft workouts, it wouldn't be a shock to see them shift towards Bailey.
G VJ Edgecombe, Baylor
VJ Edgecombe is another potential candidate to be selected within the top 3. The Baylor guard impressed during his freshman season at Baylor and he projects to be a top young player in the league next season.
Between his off-the-charts athleticism and ability to get downhill, Edgecombe has everything he needs to be a future star in the NBA. Especially if he continues to improve his jump shot.
Round 1, Pick 18 (via MEM)
F Carter Bryant, Arizona
Carter Bryant enters the NBA Draft after one season at Arizona. The forwards stats don't flash out at you as a first-round talent, but at this point of the first-round, most selections are made based on traits and potential.
Bryant has both. Not only did he impress as a capable defender for the Wildcats this season in the Big 12, but he also showed flashes of his jumper. If he stayed another season in college, it wouldn't be a shock to see him be selected within the top 10 next year.
F Nique Clifford, Colorado State
Nique Clifford is one of the more experienced prospects in the upcoming NBA Draft. The forward spent three seasons at Colorado before transferring to Colorado State. The talented wing impressed in his first-year with the Rams, but he put together a career-year this past year that now has him looked at as a first-round talent.
Averaging 18.9 points, 9.6 rebounds and 4.4 assists on efficient shooting splits, Clifford could be a big-time addition at this point of the draft.
F/C Danny Wolf, Michigan
Danny Wolf has been talked about a lot in previous draft conversations for the Wizards. The Michigan big man impressed this season with the Wolverines, proving to be a reliable scorer in the front court, but also serving as a capable passer.
Wolf in the front court alongside Alex Sarr could be an underrated lineup next season for Brian Keefe and Washington, especially if they hope to allow their young forward to play more on the perimeter.
