The 2026 NBA Draft starts and ends with the Washington Wizards, and after years of constant bad luck when it comes to the key start to the offseason, it finally feels like the organization is headed for a situation they can't mess up.
As of now, Washington holds three picks in the draft, and obviously, that could change by the time night two comes to an end.
Will Dawkins has proven that he'll get aggressive if he sees the opportunity, but with the cards in Washington's hand on draft night, there's no telling how aggressive the team will get after they make their first pick.
Obviously, the night starts at No. 1 overall for the Wizards, but here's a look at how the team's final draft haul could look when it's all said and done.
Round 1, Pick 1: F AJ Dybantsa, BYU
All signs point to the Wizards standing pat at No. 1 to select AJ Dybantsa with their top pick, and that's always been the dream for the fanbase.
Dybantsa brings the talent and confidence to immediately be a top option in D.C., but also to become the face of the franchise the Wizards have desperately been searching for.
The BYU standout will slot into the starting frontcourt, and if his game translates to the NBA as quickly as many project it will, he could be the driving force behind the Wizards making a playoff push as early as next season.
Round 2, Pick 51: F Bryce Hopkins, St. John's
At one point, Bryce Hopkins was one of the most underrated players in all of college basketball during his time at Providence.
Originally a Kentucky commit, the 6-foot-6 forward transferred to the Big East, where he eventually proved to be a top frontcourt option before suffering an injury.
Hopkins transferred to St. John's for his final season in college and proved just as impactful as remembered, averaging 13.6 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 1.9 assists on 46.9% shooting from field goal range and 36.3% from three.
As a stretch big option that could be a great value selection in the back half of the second round, Hopkins could be a solid option to compete for a standard contract or a two-way deal.
Round 2, Pick 60: G Milos Uzan, Houston
Milos Uzan very well could be selected at No. 51 by the Wizards, but I will bank on the possibility that he's available with the final pick.
Uzan is a defensive-minded guard with good size and high IQ, who could be a solid reserve option in the Wizards' backcourt for years to come.
The draft haul is headlined by Dybantsa, and that alone is a win. Nonetheless, if Washington can find value throughout, this could be a pivotal two-night stretch for the Wizards.
