The Washington Wizards have an abundance of young talent on the roster as the team continues rebuilding towards the future.
In the NBA, too much talent is hard to come by, especially for team's who are searching for every avenue to bring in as much talent as possible like the Wizards.
Washington has exhausted all options, through the trade market, free agency and the NBA Draft, which has included several selections in the lottery.
Up to this point, the Wizards have yet to hit on any of the players they took swings on, at least not to the point of declaring the team to have one specific building block.
However, the team's front office has managed to assemble a depth chart full of young talent, that gives head coach Brian Keefe options moving forward; several of which that could emerge as a big time playmaker for the Wizards at some point.
At the same time, the team has several tough roster decisions to make moving forward, largely due to the abundance of talent on the roster.
With multiple young players on the depth chart looking for minutes, Washington is bound to shake the roster up at some point this season to open up playing time for players on the roster.
Players like CJ McCollum and Khris Middleton are two obvious candidates to be moved, but considering their lucrative contracts and age, it could prove difficult for the team to move on from the two veterans.
Nonetheless, one player the team could look to move off of may be yet another former first-round pick that's experiment in the DMV may have ran it's course long enough.
Corey Kispert should be traded
Corey Kispert was selected by the Wizards in the first round of the 2020 NBA Draft and while he's shown plenty of flashes throughout his journey in Washigton, the sharpshooting wing hasn't shown enough to keep him around long-term.
At 26, the Gonzaga product has proven that if anything, he's more a reliable role player than he is a star.
For a playoff team, those are the type of players that could help win championships.
However, for a team like the Wizards, having a role player steal minutes from young talent who needs the time to develop doesn't make a whole lot of sense.
For Kispert, a fresh start is likely something that appeals to a player, who hasn't gotten the opportunity to win throughout his career.
And considering his play has been a bit underwhelming to start the season, it may make the most sense for each side if a fresh start comes sooner rather than later.
