The Washington Wizards have had a hard time staying out of the headlines, which for a team who's been stuck in a constant cycle of medicority, that's typically been bad news.

However, thanks to the team's new front office regime of general manager Will Dawkins and President of Monumental Basketball Michael Winger, Washington's appearances in the headlines have been the opposite of bad news.

In fact, Washington could be considered the biggest winner from the NBA trade deadline up to this point.

After landing four-time All-Star Trae Young at a ridiculously low price from the Atlanta Hawks, Washington followed the move with a bold acquisition of 10-time All-Star Anthony Davis, who alone will help put the Wizards back on the map.

Washington managed to net the ultimate return for former franchise player Bradley Beal and forward Kyle Kuzma when it's all said and done, and it only proves that the Wizards are in good hands moving forward.

Nonetheless, while the addition of Davis in specific may raise plenty of questions about the direction the rebuilding Wizards are headed in, the big man's arrival answers on looming question about how the team views rising star Alex Sarr moving forward.

Wizards view Alex Sarr as a PF

Following the addition of Davis, the immediate thought was whether or not he would stay put in Washington.

After considering the Wizards forked up two first-round picks to acquire the 32-year-old star, it became clear that this wasn't just a trade of unwanted salaries with Davis, D'Angelo Russell and Khris Middleton being the main structure of the deal, but instead a move that the Wizards front office was genuinely excited about doing.

In the same breath, the uncertainy about where Alex Sarr would fit alongside Davis became a clear question, especially after recent reports suggested the Wizards saw him as the center of the future.

Fortunately, NBA insider Jake Fischer shed some light on exactly how Washington envisions Sarr moving forward:

Considering the 7-footer's versatility, it doesn't come as a shock to see the Wizards excitement to place Sarr at the 4, especially with the way the newlook NBA is shaping out.

And while the offensive potential for a pairing of Sarr and Davis in the frontcourt is exciting in its own right, the defensive nightmares that the two big men will pose for opposing teams will be next-level.

Sarr has all the talent to excel at center, but considering his frame and unique skillset, what he'll open up for head coach Brian Keefe being able to make a seamless transition to power forward is going to make the Wizards an absolute unit when the team figures it out.
