The Washington Wizards and their fanbase have seemingly been waiting on the day to come to find out where they'll be picking with their top pick in the upcoming NBA Draft this offseason since the start of the season.

Washington put together a yet another abysmal season this year, finishing with a record of 18-64 solidifying themselves in the bottom of the NBA standings.

Fortunately for them, their long regular season put them in a position that allowed them to be tied with the Utah Jazz and the Charlotte Hornets for the highest chance to earn the No. 1 overall pick. However, the key word there is "chance."

Following the Wizards buzzer beater win in the season finale, they put themselves in position to pick anywhere between No.1. overall and out of the top five as a whole.

That said, here's a break down at the percentage for where Washington could land at each spot in the NBA Draft Lottery on Monday and potential targets at each position.

Wizards NBA Draft Lottery Odds

Odds to earn No. 1 overall pick: 14.0%

As mentioned above, the Wizards are tied with the Jazz and the Hornets for the highest-odds of any teams set to pick in the lottery to earn the top pick. With a 14% chance to select No. 1 overall and have the chance to select Cooper Flagg, all eyes will be on who is fortunate enough to land the Duke star.

Potential targets: Cooper Flagg, Dylan Harper

Odds to earn No. 2 overall pick: 13.4%

Although No. 1 is the clear preferred pick, early reports suggest that the Wizards and other top lottery teams are content with earning the No. 2 overall pick if fate decides that's best. With a talent like Dylan Harper widely expected to be the next top prospect behind Flagg.

Potential targets: Dylan Harper, Ace Bailey

Odds to earn No. 3 overall pick: 12.7%

Falling to No. 3 overall isn't the end of the world, but following this season it wouldn't exactly be optimal. However, Washington would still manage to land a top prospect that would have the tools to be a franchise-altering talent for them.

Potential targets: Ace Bailey, VJ Edgecombe

Odds to earn No. 4 overall pick: 12.0%

This is likely the spot where the Wizards would be flirting with the idea of worst-case scenario but barely surviving it. Washington would still likely end up with one of the top players, but there's no telling if it would be the player they preferred or the least favorite of their top options.

Potential targets: VJ Edgecombe, Jeremiah Fears

Odds to earn No. 5 overall pick: 27.8%

This is where the Wizards start to think to themselves that winning the final game of the season may not have been worth it, but still could get a talent with high potential.

Potential targets: Jeremiah Fears, Tre Johnson

Odds to earn No. 6 overall pick: 20%

Falling to No. 6 would be the worst-case scenario for the Wizards. Not because there's no talented players left on the board, but because they dropped the opportunity to select a premiere prospect like Flagg or Harper after yet another tough season.

Potential targets: Tre Johnson, Derik Queen

Wizards Final Odds to land 1-4 vs. 5-6

The Wizards have a 52.1% chance to earn a top four pick in the upcoming NBA Draft. And while the odds favor them, they also hold a 47.8% chance to fall out of the top four as a whole, which would leave them to select at either No. 5 overall or No. 6.
