Tre Johnson has high expectations entering his rookie season with the Washington Wizards, not only by the fanbase but the minds around the league.

However, if you know Johnson, the expectations are what he lives for.

The former Texas star doesn't shy away from the spotlight and it's simply because he believes that when he steps on the floor, he's just as good, if not better than every player across from him.

The guard studies some of the most lethal playmakers in the league and if he's able to add anything to his game that he doesn't already have, the sky truly is the limit.

Then again, the areas of his game that need improvement are vastly outweighed by what he thrives at.

Tre Johnson is an electric scorer

Tre Johnson's success in college put him on the map, but he only confimed what NBA scouts already believed about him during the NBA Combine.

The guard is an absolute bucket and that's being generous.

No matter if the ball is in his hands or he's coming off a screen away from the ball, the former SEC standout can score at will.

Johnson is an elite shooter, he can put the ball on the floor and his ability to finish around the basket makes him a nightmare to defend.

It won't be a surprise to see Johnson develop into a three-way scorer at the next-level and if he's able to take that leap and consistently show that he can carry the load of the Wizards' offense, there will be plenty of minutes to spare for him to put his name on the map this season.

If that is the case, and Johnson is able to carve out a sizable role as expected, there's going to be a legit case to be made about if he can come in as the underdog and steal the Rookie of the Year award from under the reigning No. 1 overall pick Cooper Flagg.

Obviously, Flagg will likely have a big season with the Dallas Mavericks, but considering the situation the former Duke star is arriving to with the Mavs.

With Dallas looking like hopeful contenders and the Wizards not positioned to contend for arguably a play-in spot, it'll be interesting to see how the votes get casted when it comes down to it.

Nonetheless, if Johnson shows what he's expected to as a rookie following the flashes in Summer League, don't be surprised if the ROTY belong to the Wizards when it's all said and done.
