The NBA Draft is less than two weeks away as teams continue to narrow down their options.

One team that many people have their eyes on is the Washington Wizards, who hold the No. 6 overall pick.

From once being tied for the highest-chances to win the Cooper Flagg sweepstakes, to now depennding on the draft board to fall in their favor to land a top prospect, Washington is nowhere close to being linked to only one prospect.

Regardless if the Wizards have a top prospect in mind or not, they very well could have that player selected right in front of them as they sit just outside of the top five,

Obviously, Washington has been linked to names such as Tre Johnson, Jeremiah Fears and Khaman Maluach as the NBA Draft approaches.

However, recent reports have suggested that the Wizards have considered the possibility of a bold trade into the top three to potentially select VJ Edgecombe, who has undoubtedly climbed in the draft rankings following his showing at the NBA Combine.

But what if there was a scenario where the Wizards don't have to use future assets to land the player they covet in this draft class? Well, in a recent mock draft by Zach Harper of The Athletic, that scenario unfolded awarding Washington arguably the biggest steal of the offseason.

In this mock draft, the Wizards stand pat at No. 6 overall to land Edgecombe and pairing him with Nolan Traore, who they landed at No. 18.

To land Edgecombe at No. 6 would require a lot of things to go in the Wizards favor. So let's take a look at how this mock draft unfolded to give Washington the chance to pull off the unthinkable.

Round 1, Pick 1: Cooper Flagg, Dallas Mavericks

Round 1, Pick 2: Dylan Harper, San Antonio Spurs

Round 1, Pick 3: Khaman Maluach, Philadelphia 76ers

Round 1, Pick 4: Tre Johnson, Charlotte Hornets

Round 1, Pick 5: Kon Knueppel, Utah Jazz

The first two picks in the draft are the most likely to happen of this entire mock. It's well-known at this point that Cooper Flagg will be the top pick in this draft and while it hasn't been confirmed, all expectations are that Harper is selected at No. 2 overall.

However, things get interesting at No. 3, where the 76ers sit. Philly very well could skip over Ace Bailey and VJ Edgecombe, but recent rumors make me believe that Tre Johnson would be the pick for them at No. 3 instead of Maluach.

Regardless, Maluach at No. 3 and Johnson at No. 4 could happen, although it's not likely,

However, imagining that the Utah Jazz would pass on both Ace Bailey and Edgecombe to select Kon Knueppel is where things go from realistic to simply a dream scenario.

Obviously, stranger things have happened in the NBA, but it will take A LOT for the Wizards to find a way to land Edgecombe without a trade up.
