The Washington Wizards Summer League roster could be exactly what the team's front office and fanbase need to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

With the NBA regular season months away, fans will have to wait to see what version of the Wizards they'll be forced to watch through the entirety of the 2025-26 season.

However, this upcoming Summer League play could be everything fans need in more to finally give them some hope about the direction of the Wizards rebuild.

Following the results of their strong draft class landing Texas standout Tre Johnson, high-upside wing Will Riley and defensive stud Jamir Watkins, Washington has a case for the most talented roster heading into Summer League competition.

As of now, it's unclear whether Alex Sarr, Bub Carrington, Kyshawn George or AJ Johnson will be suiting up in Summer League, but considering the raw talent each player posesses, it's widely expected that they will be playing at least a few games.

Here's a look at what the Wizards lineup look like if their roster is at full strength with their young talent/

Starters:

G Bub Carrington
G Tre Johnson
F Will Riley
F Kyshawn George
C Alex Sarr

Bench:

G AJ Johnson
F Jamir Watkins
F Tristan Vukcevic
G Kadary Richmond

Without a doubt this Wizards roster may be one of the most deep units of the summer and the fact that this very well could be a lineup that Brian Keefe rolls out at some point during the regular season next year proves just how young this Washington core really is.

During the regular season, it's hard to judge just how competitive the Wizards young core is when they're going toe-to-toe with some of the best players and veterans in the league.

This offseason, fans will get a breath of fresh air to see how talented the team's young roster is against some of the other rebuilding teams in the league.

With a reshaped roster including multiple talented veterans and one of the best draft classes of the offseason headlined by arguably the most natural scorer in the entire draft, Washington could be sneaky competitive next season.

While it may not be playoff competitive, it could be a refreshing change to see.

Fans will get their first real chance to see what their young roster looks like in the coming weeks as Summer League begins.

The Wizards first Summer League game will be on July 11th against the Phoenix Suns in Las Vegas.
