Going forward, it will be easier for the Washington Wizards to advertise their games than in years past after adding No. 1 overall pick AJ Dybantsa as well as stars Trae Young and Anthony Davis. However, they'll now have the help of a European streaming giant.

Monumental Sports and Entertainment announced on Tuesday that its new partnership with DAZN, allowing fans to subscribe to its Monumental+ (M+) app through the latter app. Monumental broadcasts Wizards, Washington Mystics (WNBA), Washington Capitals (NHL) and Capital City Go-Go (NBA G League) games.

Meanwhile, DAZN is a British sports streaming platform and is Europe'slargest digital sports broadcaster, per The Yorkshire Post. The company made a similar deal to broadcast New York teams in July, as it partnered with YES Network and MSG. That covers the New York Yankees, Brooklyn Nets, New York Knicks, New York Rangers, New York Islanders, New Jersey Devils and Buffalo Sabres (latter five teams are NHL).

Wizards fans have another option, but there's a catch

For Wizards fans, this DAZN deal offers another alternative after Monumental's agreement with YouTube TV and Hulu + Live TV ended in October 2025. This past NBA season, the only way for fans in the D.C., Maryland, and Virginia area to stream the team's games was through M+.

While fans will still need a subscription to M+ through DAZN, the platform also includes other sports content to consume.

"DAZN, the world’s leading sports entertainment platform, streams more than 140,000 live events annually and is available in over 200 markets worldwide," Monumental's press release reads. "DAZN is the home of soccer, boxing and MMA, as well as the NFL Game Pass and NHL.TV internationally. "

"The platform features the biggest sports and leagues from around the world – Bundesliga, Serie A, LALIGA, Ligue 1, Formula 1, NBA, Moto GP, and many more," it continues. "In the US, DAZN offers fans a portfolio of premium sports content anchored by its position as the global home of boxing, with more than 185 fight nights annually from leading promoters including Matchroom, Golden Boy, Queensberry, PBC and Top Rank. DAZN also delivers a growing selection of multi-sport content to US audiences, including top-tier European soccer available in Spanish, as well as MMA, motorsport, volleyball, and others."

DAZN is the latest streaming app to add M+ to its platform, joining a list including Apple TV and Roku. Meanwhile, out-of-market Wizards fans can still watch the team by subscribing to NBA League Pass.
