Behind Enemy Lines

A lot of people will argue that the Wizards didn’t show up last night. Maybe so, but the referees never game them a chance to start the game.

From hearing the stadium chant “F*&^ You Oubre” and not caring that children were nearyby –  to the referees no-calls on John Wall, the odds did not start off in Washington’s favor.

Even the Celtics’ fans would say, when Marcus Smart jumped on Markieff Morris‘ back, that Keef was fouled. Of course they didn’t yell it.

I stood up and cheered every time for the Wizards, even when a whole section of fans told me to sit down. I turned to everyone and said, if I can’t stand up then no one can. I also told them in sign language.

More from Wiz of Awes

I hope more Wizards’ fans come up and support their team, instead of complaining about them from the comfort of your couch or bar stool.

Because that team was in enemy territory, the likes of which you have never seen.

I was a Wizards’ season ticket holder last season, and sat close to the tunnel, and I never tried to fist bump a player.

But at the end of the game on Wednesday, I positioned myself to tap each player, from Wall to the end of the bench – ShelMac.

I told each Wizard, that you just have to win 2 more. It’s not a glass half full argument, it’s the truth.

You know who Boston had supporting them in the very first seats?

The likes of Bill Belichick, Robert Kraft, Julian Edelman, and various other Pats players. Of course Isaiah Thomas is going to play like he’s King of the World, and not just King of the Fourth, in front of Boston’s other championship team.

But because I was there in that sea of green, and the sea was angry that day my friend, let me call out a few players.
