By Ryan Eugene
Although the team will need great production from the supporting cast, in the end much of the final outcome will ride on the shoulders of John Wall and Bradley Beal. The fans know that, the Celtics know it, Scott Brooks does, as do Wall and Beal.
All season, as Wall and Beal have excelled, the team has also. At the beginning of the season, with Wall recovering from double knee surgery and Beal going through struggles, the team faltered to a 2-8 start.

Over the course of the season though, Beal began to play like the max player he is, and Wall returned a MVP caliber season.
As the two players returned spectacular individual seasons, the team continued to pile up the wins at a historical rate.
In Washington’s last closeout opportunity, Game 6 in Atlanta, the duo combined for 73 points and were huge in the fourth quarter to pull away. While 73 points may not be necessary, that level of willingness to compete will be crucial.
This postseason, in seven wins, the duo are averaging a combined 55 points. In five losses, they are averaging 46 points.
Last time in Boston, the team struggled to give strong effort consistently, and in Game 2 squandered a six minute lead with a few minutes left.
In Game 6 the duo provided more than clutch three-point scoring. They scored 59 of 92 team points (64%) and scored 23 of the team’s 26 4th quarter points.
Game 7s build legacy, and these young stars will lead the way as the city of Washington, D.C. watches. As a fan, we must embrace the nervousness that his day and game will bring, it doesn’t come around often.
