Washington Wizards: Should Wizards Fans be Excited for Next Season?
Solution
Washington must build from within and yes, “trust the process.” Markieff, Brandon and Kelly Oubre Jr. have shown their skill on the court, but also provide an edge and toughness. However, their maturity remains a question.
Just this series, these three have combined for three technical fouls and two ejections. Oubre charged Kelly Olynyk in frustration, which led to an ejection and a suspension.
Jennings has over 30 career technicals and the only reason Morris is a Wizard is because the Suns traded his brother, Marcus, and Markieff then demanded a trade.
Going forward, they need to be leaders while continuing to develop their game.

BJ finished the regular season top-10 in assist to turnover ratio ahead of all-stars like Steph Curry, Kyle Lowry and fellow Wizard John Wall.
Oubre plays with high energy and supplies strong defense. But he must shoot a higher percent from deep (28.7 percent) and broaden his arsenal off the dribble.
If Jennings and Oubre become leaders off the bench and do it with their edge, their teammates will follow.
Morris has takeover tendencies when he gets hot, but an area to improve: Posting up down low. Pick-and-Pop, he’s great. Open 3-pointer, he’s confident. More confident with the jump shot, in my opinion, than with his back to the basket.
Facing-up, he’s quicker than most 4’s and has the strength to finish around the rim. Add post moves to a strong forward who can knock down jumpers, his potential is scary.

What’s scary is facing the reality that the Wizards are finished this season. They fell short in the Conference Semifinals for the third time in four years and it’s tough.
Don’t forget, just four years ago, this team won only 29 games. Now – they compete. But no matter the circumstance, no matter the hardship, D.C. natives never lose their passion for their team nor their city.
