Washington Wizards: DeMarcus Cousins or the Dirty Dozen?
Washington Wizards fans have long dreamed of reuniting friends and college teammates John Wall and DeMarcus Cousins in D.C. If the Washington Wizards acquire Cousins, that doesn’t address its real problem, which is the bench.
The more minutes John Wall plays during the regular season, the less games they’ll win in the postseason. Cousins is a nonstarter for the direction that the Wizards must take to reach the next level, which is the Eastern Conference Finals.
Washington must amass its own Dirty Dozen, which keeps its core intact – Wall, Bradley Beal, and Markieff Morris.

The remaining 12 includes: a new starting center, with Marcin Gortat coming off the bench; a new small forward, who alternates starter minutes with Otto Porter; Kelly Oubre Jr., Jason Smith; and the remaining 6 players in the second unit will have to be strategically placed, because as goes the bench so goes the Wizards.
The Washington Wizards have to think big this offseason. Because while they’re playing checkers, the Celtics will be playing chess.
Boston already has the number one overall draft pick. And I firmly believe that they are going to trade it, or make room on their payroll to get a superstar player.
Yet, I wouldn’t be surprised in a boss move if they did both, while yelling out, “Check”.
