Point Guard

Starter: John Wall

Backup: Tim Frazier

Reserve: Tomas Satoransky

The story here isn’t John Wall, we know what we’re getting from him. The 4x all-star is an All-NBA talent, consistently putting up 20 points &10 assists a game. With past injuries behind him, expect him to lead the team in minutes yet again and hover around 35-37 MPG.

The story here is what happens after John Wall. The Wizards backup point guard position has been a revolving door for what seems like forever. A.J. Price, Eric Maynor, Andre Miller, Ramon Sessions, Brandon Jennings, etc. The list goes on and on. To put it kindly, it hasn’t exactly been an area of strength for the Wizards.

Tim Frazier is the latest name in the cycle, and he’s by far the most talented. Trading the 52nd overall pick in the draft for Frazier was a good move. With the Pelicans, Frazier showed he’s capable of running an offense effectively as both a starter and backup. He’s athletic, a solid passer, and can score in spurts.

Just 26 years old, Frazier could either see somewhere between 14-16 MPG or could cement himself as the Wizards 6th man.
