On Saturday, the Washington Wizards take on the Toronto Raptors in Game 1 of their playoff series. It’s an exciting matchup between these two semi-rivals. However, two of the Wizards key players have been listed as questionable.

Many people are trying to predict the outcome. I’m not a betting man. I’m not even a man. So there’s no coin toss coming from me.

But this is the moment many have been waiting for. To see the Wizards in the postseason.

Who like other teams have gone through adversity–some man-made by losing to sub-.500 teams. While others out of their control–John Wall‘s knee injury.

Nonetheless, the Wizards have arrived.

However, just before the fateful day, both Otto Porter and Mike Scott have been listed as questionable for Saturday’s matchup.

Porter is dealing with a mild calf strain. Scott has been placed into the league-mandated concussion protocol after an injury during the Orlando matchup.

Thus, the only thing that is predictable is there will be the unpredictable.

Porter has been many times throughout the season the best player on the floor. For example, back in October when he lit up the Golden State Warriors. Then again in March.

Both times he was the best player on the floor.

Porter is an all-around player and the Wizards’ not so secret weapon. Whatever scouting report the Raptors have on him, they can toss it out the window.

While Mike Scott has been tremendous all season. His contributions to the Wizards have been a breath of fresh air.

For me his best game of the season was against the Clippers.

Back then I wrote:

"“In his first 12 minutes of play, Scott was perfect from the field, going 5-for-5. To end the first half, he led all scorers with 12 points, and was the only Wizards player in double digits. He was just making unbelievable shots, that just didn’t look they would go in. But by Scott they did”."

It wasn’t so much the opponent, but his concentration under pressure. Both Porter and Scott are efficient players.

Porter in his own quiet way, while Scott makes his presence known.

However, their health is paramount.

Whether these two players play tomorrow shouldn’t matter for the Raptors. Because they will have their hands full with the best backcourt in the East.

You can take that last sentence either way. I hope everyone enjoys the series–Raptors fans, Wizards fans, all fans alike.
