Backup Center

Thomas Bryant (2018-Present) 11 ppg, 6.6 rpg, 0.9 bpg, 59.8% FG%, 1.5 apg, 0.4 spg

Thomas Bryant, “TB,” is a promising 22-year-old currently on the roster. He brings insane energy to pretty much everything he does on the basketball court, even if it’s just sitting on the bench cheering on his teammates.

Straight from one great center to the next, the Wizards have been blessed from 2013 up until now to have some talent at the center position. In Bryant’s lone season in the 2010’s decade, he greatly surpassed every other center that graced the floor at Capital One Arena.

In that sole season, he shot an unbelievable 61.6% from the field, good enough for 1st in the NBA in two-point field goal percentage and 4th in the entire league in overall field goal percentage. A true accomplishment and testament to all the fans who expect great things to come from the young big.

And of course, as is tradition in Washington seemingly, TB was a second round draft pick, selected 42nd overall by the Utah Jazz in the 2017 NBA draft. He’s already turned heads, claiming First-team All NBA G League honors (2018) as well as being named to the NBA G League All-Rookie Team (2018).

Everyone here in D.C. is looking forward to his continued development and what he can do with a full roster when John Wall gets back from his Achilles injury.
