Kyshawn George is slowly but surely becoming the one player that could change the entire outlook of the Washington Wizards future single handedly.

The Miami product showed flashes of how versatile he could be as a rookie, but even then, it was hard to comprehend just how good he truly could be.

George impressed as a rookie showcasing his underrated ability to score, serve as a facilitator and defend nearly every position on the court when needed.

In Summer League, the forward quickly turned heads with the offseason work he put into his jump shot.

Between his improved jumper and the flashes he's already shown in nearly every other area of his game, it was clear that a sophomore leap could be on the horizon for the former first-round pick.

In fact, his improved jumper allowed for fans to start making player comparisons about the type of player he could develop into with the Wizards.

However, none of the comparisons came close to the comp George has heard about himself

When asked if there's any player comparisons he's about his game that stood out, George listed one name in specific that should excite fans moving forward.

If George is ever able to develop into the type of player Jalen Williams has become for the Oklahoma City Thunder, Washington's future could change in an instant.

Williams is coming off a breakout season in OKC, averaging 21.6 points, 5.3 rebounds and 5.1 assists, setting career highs across the board while also taking on the challenge of defending one of, if not the top opposing players on a nightly basis.

The Thunder's breakout wing was a key piece for the Thunder during their run to the NBA Finals and his two-way versatility could be credited for what made Oklahoma City such a dynamic team this past year.

For George, if he's able to develop into a similar played as JDub, the Wizards would immediately have found a building block in the frontcourt that they could rely on for years to come.

The Miami product has all the tools to take the leap necessary to prove he can be a similar player and while the Joe Ingles comp is another intriguing prototype, the idea of George being able to develop into the a Jalen Williams-esque player, the Wizards rebuild could immediately shave off a few years.

Heading into next season, the hype surrounding a potential George breakout is building and this most recent comp will only add to the expectations fans are setting for the second-year player.
