The NBA Draft is less than three days away as teams continue to finalize their draft boards.
With three picks in the upcoming draft, including two first round selections, the Washington Wizards are set for a busy next few days. Holding the No. 6 overall, general manager has multiple decisions to make within the next 48 hours; one of which will be if the team should stand firm at No. 6 or make a bold trade into the top five in hopes of landing their top choice.
As Mock Draft season continues to roll on, ESPN's latest predictions should be a promising sight for Wizards fans hoping their team takes swings that could allow them to compete in the Eastern Conference sooner rather than later.
That said, here's a look at how what the Wizards draft haul would look like if ESPN's mock proves true.
Round 1, Pick 6: G/F Ace Bailey, Rutgers
Ace Bailey falling to No. 6 overall is a dream that seemingly every Wizards fan shares right now.
Heading into this draft process, the likelihood of the Rutgers standout falling out of the top five seemed to be a pipe dream.
However, after recent reports of Bailey's camp seemingly trying to will his client to a preferred destination by cancelling his visit with the Philadelphia 76ers and declining visits elsewhere, there seems to be growing belief that his preferred landing spot is D.C.
If the Wizards land Bailey, they'd get a wing with superstar potential that could catapult their rebuild if he pans out.
Round 1, Pick 18 (via MEM): G/F Liam McNeeley, UConn
Liam McNeeley is another wing with high potential the Wizards would be selecting with their second pick in the first round.
The UConn forward has great size and has shown offensive flashes that prove very promising for how his game could translate at the next level.
Heading to Washington would ultimately be the Wizards landing a cheaper Corey Kispert-esque player with even more potential.
Round 2, Pick 40 (via PHX): F Bogoljub Markovic, Mega Superbet (Adriatic)
Bogoljub Markovic is a swing that the Wizards absolutely should take in the second round if he's available when it's their turn to pick at No. 40.
Markovic has great size and his feel for the game is next-level. The forward has great vision out of the front court and potential to be a very solid rotational player at the very least but the upside to be even more.
